Google User Data

When you explicitly choose to enable the email automation feature in AnswerNow, we access and process certain Google user data through the Gmail API. This access is separate from the general Google login functionality and requires specific authorization.

Access:

• Access to your Gmail data only occurs after you explicitly enable the email automation feature through a dedicated button in our platform
• We request the following Gmail API permissions:
  • gmail.readonly: Allows us to read your incoming emails
  • gmail.compose: Allows us to create draft emails and potentially send emails (though we only create drafts by default)
• While these permissions technically allow broader access, we strictly limit our actual usage to only what's necessary for the email automation feature

Use:

• We use your Gmail data solely for the following purposes:
  • Monitoring your inbox for new incoming emails
  • Analyzing incoming emails to generate appropriate responses
  • Creating draft responses in your Gmail account
• We do not use this data for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose beyond email automation
• While our permissions allow us to send emails directly, we will only create drafts unless explicitly configured otherwise
• We do not access or process any historical emails beyond what's necessary for the automation feature
• We do not retain or use Gmail/Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train any generalized AI or machine learning models. While we use third-party AI services to process emails and generate responses, this is done on a per-email basis solely for the purpose of email automation. Your email data is only used transiently for response generation and is not used to train or improve any AI models.

Storage:

• We do not store your emails in our systems
• We only process emails transiently to generate draft responses
• No copies of your emails are retained in our databases
• We maintain only the minimum necessary metadata to provide our service

Revoking Access:

• You can disconnect Gmail access at any time through our platform
• When you disconnect:
  • We immediately cease monitoring your inbox
  • All Gmail-related data in our platform is permanently deleted
  • You can also revoke our access through your Google Account settings
• Revoking access does not affect drafts already created in your Gmail account

Sharing:

• We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties
• Your Gmail data is processed solely within our secure systems
• No third-party service providers have access to your Gmail data
